Darre Hudspeth, I am Al's sister. If you see this message I would love to see those scribblers. I just came across this as a memory on my Facebook page. Read all the very gracious and kind comments everybody had for Al. They all brought tears to my eyes once again. Miss and think of him every day. My email is ta73798@gmail.com just in case you get this message. Thanks in advance. Tammy Peters - Posted by: Tammy Peters (Sister) on: May 17, 2017

Thank you all very much for your thoughts for my brother Al. I know Steve and I appreciate all the kind words. Kari said it best, no matter what life threw at Al, he always remained positive and never said anything negative about anybody. Whenever Steve and I would talk to him he always said people where busy with life. Miss you tons big brother.....Tammy - Posted by: Tammy Peters (Sister) on: Jul 28, 2014

What I enjoyed about Al the most was his life attitude. He always found positive in whatever life was dealing him at the time. He liked to help people and truly cared about others. I'll miss his smile - a lot of people couldn't pull it off without teeth, but he sure could! Heaven's a better place now that you're in it. - Posted by: Kari Essery (Friend) on: Jun 08, 2014

Our condolences to family, friends and co-workers. We have worked with Allan for many years in Winnipeg and Calgary offices. I (Helen) have worked with Allan on Keewatin/Ignace Sub for alot of years. He loved working midnight shift. I came in day shift and I was always greeted with his happy smiling face even if he had a bad and busy shift. He was a very happy go lucky, good hearted, loving and generous person. You left this world too soon and will be missed. Rest In Peace. I offer my condolences to Allan's family, friends, and associates, at this time,.... I too worked alongside Allan,...for 15 years, from the time our offices were consolidated in 1996 - 1997, until I retired April 23, 2012. Before that I spoke with Allan on the telephone, exchanging work related information, while working for C.P. Rail in the Calgary RTC office. Allan was always easy to work with, our conversations were generally short, comical, yet informative. “The swift do not always win the race, nor do the mighty win the battle, nor do the wise always have the food, nor do the intelligent always have the riches, nor do those with knowledge always have success, because time and unexpected events overtake them all.”—Ecclesiastes 9:11. - Posted by: Dwane Lauinger (Retired co-worker) on: May 20, 2014

During out many conversations we had over the almost 30 years that I've known you, I've have learned that your love towards your family was unconditional. May the road rise up to meet you, may the wind be ever at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face and the rain fall softly on your fields. And until we meet again, may God hold you in the hollow of his hand. - Posted by: John Opyc (Friend) on: May 19, 2014

We both loved bikes and I always liked to talk to him about riding them and how we both had wonderful stories to tell each other about riding them. May God bless! - Posted by: AL Hebert (co-worker) on: May 19, 2014

My heartfelt condolences and thoughts to his family and those he held dear. I called him 'Big Al' due to the glimpses into his huge heart that he often showed. He watched over many of us even on the picket line-taking nights so others didn't have to. He always had a loving smile and a happy tear in his eye when he talked about his family. He was a Martial Artist that I respected and was inspired by, holding his skill and knowledge for teaching, not showing off. I'll think of you when I'm at Shaolin this year Big Al and say hi to the Monks for ya. - Posted by: DJM-former RTC (I looked up to him for many reasons) on: May 19, 2014

RIP AHJ. Condolences to his family that he loved so very, very much. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. He was a great, and wise man. Was climbing a hill and stuck my hand In and ant hill and kept telling me it was just sand and was surprised how calm I was. - Posted by: Mark p (Nephew) on: May 18, 2014

I worked with Al for many years when he was a Rail Traffic Controller. He had a great sense of humor and we shared many laughs. He also had a very serious side; and that was his deep love and concern for his family. He will be missed by all that knew him. Rest In Peace Al. Tonight I will have a Black Russian and raise my glass to you.. - Posted by: Brenda Duke (Former co-worker) on: May 18, 2014

In 1970 I met a wonderful, rather clumsy young lad, age 9 yrs., wanting to join my cub pack. However I soon realized he was far too big to be a cub so I donated Him to "Skip" the scout leader! Our relationship grew quickly as did Allan. He became a legend in Archwood group. Attending all camps and a trip to England. He managed to break many axe handles. He will be sadly missed but we will all remember him. Goodbye Allan - Posted by: "Skip" and Ali Eason (scout/cub leader and friend) on: May 17, 2014
